Where did fall go?

Today is one of those days where I am so sleepy I am just completely out of it. I am coasting through the day, staring at the clock and thinking of the sweatpants I will put on when I get home and the warm, cozy blankets I can sit under to watch TV and be lazy all night long. After carving pumpkins of course.

This is how I feel to a tee:

Hppy Friday! Enjoy tolerate the snow tomorrow. Snow in October?!?!

Also, enjoy this video (I am pretty sure it is a commercial). It is silly but I think it sends a great message.

Perfect Two

Such an adorable song  :-)

You can be the peanut butter to my jelly
You can be the butterflies I feel in my belly
You can be the captain and I can be your first mate
You can be the chills that I feel on our first date

You can be the hero and I can be your side kick
You can be the tear that I cry if we ever split
You can be the rain from the cloud when it's stormin'
Or you can be the sun when it shines in the mornin'

Don't know if I could ever be
Without you cause boy you complete me
And in time I know that we'll both see
That we're all we need

Cause you're the apple to my pie
You're the straw to my berry
You're the smoke to my high
And you're the one I wanna marry

Cause you are the one for me
And I'm the one for you
You take the both of us
And we're the perfect two

We're the perfect two
We're the perfect two
Baby me and you
We're the perfect two

You can be the prince and I can be your princess
You can be the sweet tooth I can be the dentist
You can be the shoes and I can be the laces
You can be the heart that I spill on the pages

You can be the Vodka and I can be the chaser
You can be the pencil and I can be the paper
You can be as *cold* as the winter weather
But I don't care as long as we're together

dont know if I could ever be
Without you cause boy you complete me
And in time I know that we'll both see
That we're all we need

Cause you're the apple to my pie
You're the straw to my berry
You're the smoke to my high
And you're the one I wanna marry

Cause your the one for me
And I'm the one for you
You take the both of us
And we're the perfect two

We're the perfect two
We're the perfect two
Baby me and you
We're the perfect two

Wine, Cake and Love

My Nana always told me:

“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never be hurt, Sing like there's nobody listening, And live like it's heaven on earth.”

Today is one of those days that you want to be happy because birthdays are happy but you can't help but feel sad when you know the birthday you could be celebrating won't happen because the person isn't with you anymore.

Today my Nana would be 80 years old. There is still a moment everyday where I can't believe that she isn't here anymore.  Sometimes I will see something and think "my Nana would love that" or just want to curl up in her bed with her and tell her about my awful day at work, or the exciting things that happened over the weekend.

When she first passed away I didn't want to forget the sound of her voice, that was what I feared the most.  It has been two years, and I can't necessarily remember exactly what it sounds like anymore, but I will never forget her touch.  She was one of those people that could touch you with a hand, and you could feel it in your soul.  Her hands, although they were 78 years old, were the softest I have ever felt. She cared and loved so much those who were important to her.  I hope that I have at least half the amount of room in my heart to love as she did.

Tonight we are going to celebrate her birthday with a glass of wine, a piece of cake and love. Just because she isn't here with us anymore doesn't mean that she would want us to be sad. She is looking down over us, wanting us to love as hard as we can.

Song Queen

I have been the song queen lately.  The past few days, I have been listening to all the Michael Franti and Spearhead songs (after hearing new ones at the wedding I was in this past weekend).  I love the reggae/low key feel of all his music.  It's feel good music, and I think everyone can appreciate it, no matter age, beliefs, taste, etc.

Here's a little taste:

Speaking of said wedding, I'll post lots of pictures after the bride and her new hubby return from their honeymoon. The wedding was one of the absolute best I have ever been too. I may be partial because she is a best friend of a long time, but it was so much fun and lasted the perfect amount of time.  The wedding was so "them". A little touch of Ashley and Andy on every part of it. Overall, an amazing time with many people that I love!

A sneak peek:

Fun had by all :)

Love you both to pieces Ash and Andy! Can't wait to see you when you get back from the Carribean all bronzed.

Completely off subject...

I successfully completed my first morning workout ever. 5 am came bright and early but I now understand the amazing feeling of having it done for the day.  I hope I can get my booty out of bed that early more often!
