Who has seen this parady of "Sexy and I Know It"? I heard it on the radio this morning and had to share :-)
Some may call it fickle...I just think I have a lot of different interests.

Find Inspiration Daily
First of all, if you want to see an amazing, inspiring woman and family (and have a good cry) please jump over and watch this video. I am completely hooked on Ashley's amazing blog. She is a mom, going through chemo, choosing to live a joyful, positive life. She really has to be one of the strongest people ever. And on top of it all, her blog is originally based on the amazing products she produces.
Next, its just a normal rainy Tuesday here. I think that it rains every Tuesday? That might be an exaggeration but it is close to it. Today I am liking it though. Just a steady rain, with not so cold temperatures. No ice, no snow, happy me :-)

Also, I am starting the Winter Shape Up. I am cleaning up my eating a little more (emphasis on fruits and veggies) and going to do the workouts along with some zumba, a running day and a yoga night. I know myself, and direction in exercise is key for me. I am excited to try it out tonight. Along with the winter shape up comes 8 glasses of water a day. I am not a very good water drinker and have felt super dehydrated lately. I have come up with a no fail method. Two of these bad boys before I get home from work a day!
Lastly, I am a little too excited to watch my DVR'd Gossip Girl tonight. I have also gotten hooked (after one episode) on Californication....it is a show that I would have never expected to like, but I do. It's always nice to find a show that Brent and I both like. He get's to watch enough Private Practice, The Bachelor and The Voice and I try to teach myself to enjoy basketball whenever possible. Most girls like basketball best I think, I would rather a football game any day of the week.
What is your favorite gender neutral show??

Happy MLK Day
I am so happy to be having an unproductive day off! Having a random monday off of work is always the best. So far I have hit up a morning zumba class, done some laundry, made an awesome salad for lunch and chased Jaks around the house 45 times.
Anyways, these past few weekend have been pretty good. We have had a good mix of productive (wedding registries DONE, cooking new recipes) and fun (going out with friends at night, drinking our share of wine) :-) Thought I would share a few pics since the beginning of 2012. Another new years resolution I have added to the list...TAKE MORE PICTURES.
Enjoy your lovely day off work (if you are luck enough to be off)!

All I can think of is the weekend...
So I am looking through old albums on facebook to pass time. I will not embarrass others by showing pictures that I fould of them circa 2006-2008 but I will show some of my own. A few good laughs on a friday afternoon are always good.
It is fun to look back at pictures because no matter how bad/good/attractive/funny they are...they bring back the memory of that day instantly!
Have a wonderful weekend!

I found this picture today :-) The first day Ash and Andy really started hanging out.

St. Patty's Day 2006. Someone should have told me stripes are for zebras only...

Back in college when I thought those hats were super cute....

Again with the hat, at Oliver's in Laurel. If you are from Laurel, you know what I'm talking about, lol.

Last birthday cake shooter ever, on my 21st bday. I like to ruin drinks for myself quickly!

Getting poured on at a John Mayer concert. It was still amazing.

I like to call this "bad family photo" because we are all thinking obviously different things.

Nay's bach party almost 5 years ago! Now she's having a sweet baby girl :)

The caption of this was "pose like a dude, act hard". Enough said.

Things I think/wonder about at work
I read a blog that I really like, Low and Behold, and lately when she has nothing to say she does a series "Things I say when I am bored". I liked this idea. Sometimes I just don't have one long thought to write an entire blog on. And sometimes I don't have fun pictures to post. So, on days like that, random thoughts are what you may get.
Today, as I was sitting in my office I was literally staring at the box of donuts sitting 6 feet away from me for 3 hours. I had a mental fight with myself. I wanted one so badly, but then thought about all of the pretty dresses I would have to fit in this year. And how I would much rather do yoga tonight than run. Then I finally looked at the flavors, I was just going to cut a piece off of one. They were all plain cake donuts. That made my decision easy. Waste of calories. I can't wait to find some sort of sweet to eat later to reward myself ;-)
How many times does that average person look at the clock during a work day? I feel that I probably glance down at it, on average, every 15 minutes. 8 hours divided by 15 minutes is 32. Subtract one hour for lunch and I look at the clock on average 28 times a day. That is pretty ridiculous.
I am obsessed with looking up shoes for my bridesmaids. I want them to be absolutely perfect and I am having very little luck....BUT I have only looked at shoes for myself once. Fell in love, and have not looked back. Even though I can probably not afford them. It is fun to live in the dream world for awhile. I will hit reality some time close to my first dress fitting.
How do people keep their hair looking nice through an entire day of work? By lunchtime I feel like mine has gone flat/frizzy/tangly or a combination of them all.
Why do I forget every night to take off my awful chipped nail polish? I need to make myself a note.
What is the point of sending in an empty envelope to a school? I have opened 3 this week. Are people really that forgetful? An envelope is for putting stuff in.....if its empty, its pointless.
Is it friday yet? I can't wait to drink wine, talk about weddings, look at pictures, and talk about how hot Ryan Gosling has gotten since the notebook with my favorite girls. (Christine, is there anyway you can catch a flight for the night? Or we could video chat?!?)
Does anyone else ever have a problem with the tights/socks/boot combo? Sometimes, randomly, my tights and socks feel like they suddenly get super tight around my toes and they become very uncomfortable. But I can't really take my boot off, unless my boss is at lunch, so I try to pretend like it doesn't hurt. It works aout 10% of the time.
Lunchtime is my favorite time of the day. Beaten only by 4pm when traffic is good and I get home in under an hour!
Random enough for you?

Polite vs. Aggravating
I have not written much about wedding planning on my blog, mostly because I like things being a surprise. I have not given away details about colors or locations because those who need to know, already do and those who don't can wait in suspense ;-)
Anyway, I was talking to a friend yesterday who I go to when I need an honest opinion. If I really want to know if something is hideous, or ridiculous I immediately go to her. She is 100% honest, even if it isn't the popular answer and I completely respect that aspect of her. I was telling her how I feel like once you get engaged lots of people lose their opinion. You could ask them if you look good in a rainbow colored bridal gown and they would say "OMG it's so beautiful". No it's really not. Now, I know I have more than just one person that is honest with me, and that makes me very happy and grateful but my question is...
Why do people feel the need to be so polite?
I feel like in every other aspect of life, college choice, raising kids, house decorating, people can be brutally honest. But when it comes to planning your wedding, all the sudden they shut down.
I am not going to lie. Everyone once in awhile it is nice to hear that your ideas are awesome. But I am human, I make mistakes and I have never planned a wedding before so if something I say is far off, please don't restrain yourself. Just let me know!
My point is...sometimes just being polite is more aggravating than it is helpful. If I ask for your opinion I really want it, and I am going to respect it and take it as genuine. If I don't ask for your opinion you can keep it to yourself. Just kidding (kinda) :-)
Moral of the story. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.
Thoughts?

Glory
I know that people are criticizing Jay-Z's Glory written to his new baby girl but I can't help but like the song. Yes, it's slightly TMI in parts. But it shows the love that he has to Blue and why she has that name. It also shows the struggles that he and Beyonce have gone through to start their family.
Glory feat. B.I.C.
[Hook]
The most amazing feeling I feel
Words can't describe the feeling, for real
Maybe I paint the sky blue
My greatest creation was you, you: Glory
[Verse 1]
False alarms and false starts
All made better by the sound of your heart
All the pain of the last time
I prayed so hard it was the last time
Your mama said that you danced for her
Did you wiggle your hands for her?
Glory! Glory!
Glory! Sorry
Everything that I prayed for
God's gift, I wish I woulda prayed more
God makes no mistakes, I made a few
Rough sledding here and there, but I made it through
I wreak havoc on the world
Get ready for part two
A younger, smarter faster me
So a pinch of Hov, a whole glass of Bé
[Hook]
[Verse 2]
Your Grandpop died of **** failure
Then he died of liver failure
Deep down he was a good man
Goddamn, I can't deliver failure
Bad-*** lil Hov
Two years old, shopping on Savile Row
Wicked-*** lil B
Hard not to spoil you rotten, looking like little me
The most beautifulest thing in this world
Is daddy's little girl
You don't yet know what swag is but you was made in Paris
And mama woke up the next day and shot her album package
Last time the miscarriage was so tragic
We was afraid you'd disappear, but nah, baby, you magic
So there you have it, **** happens
Just make sure the plane you on is bigger than your carry-on baggage
Everybody go through stuff
Life is a gift, love, open it up
You're a child of destiny
You're the child of my destiny
You're my child with the child from Destiny's Child
That's a hell of a recipe
Glory! Glory!
Glory!
What do you think???
